If you’ve been following our progress you’ll know that we are a matter of weeks away from releasing our first product: a poseable 10″ action figure which is customised via the MAKIES website. Next in our list of want-to-meets! We’re looking for someone to help us improve and refine our facepainting ideas, materials and techniques. We’re designing for the types of folks who might want to do their own painting or modding too, but we also have to supply those who want a nicely finished figure in a box, with eyebrows and such necessities. On Saturday 26th November we spent the day in the underbelly of the V&A Museum of Childhood with Coney and our brilliant and brave user testers – kids, teens and adults – playing with dolls, games and avatar customisation prototypes and hearing what they had to say about what we’d made and what else was out there.
