TSB Tech City: We are funded!

Happy news that we’re now able to share: yesterday was the Technology Strategy Board Tech City pitch day. We had previously been told by the TSB that we’d been approved for £100K funding, to be match-funded from the private sector. We’re pleased to announce that we’re already able to match that offer, which means that we’re GO for alpha-building.

Many thanks to the appraisers at the TSB and our supporters for this. We’re completely delighted!

We’re continuing conversations with funders about Stage Two, which takes us to public beta and we’re welcoming enquiries from potential angels and investors. Meanwhile, we’d like to share some pictures of one of our prototype dolls. We’re currently working on skin colour, eyelashes, eyebrows, better articulation & joints, plus accessories. We also have other products in development, but this is the leader.

We’ll be releasing our models under a CC-license as we go, so (non-commercial) remix & play will be available to anyone interested in poking about, too.
